JP MAROU

Born in Trinidad and Tobago, shaped in Brooklyn, ignited in Rio de Janeiro.

After a life-changing journey to Brazil's first post-pandemic Carnaval in 2022, JP MAROU was created to serve a community of powerful women who needed activewear as strong and dynamic as they are.

The mission is simple: ignite the fire within all women to move and feel their very best. The impassioned dancer logo invites every woman to express her natural fire, strength, and wisdom while becoming a stronger, more vibrant version of herself.

CODE FASHIONABLY

Where fashion sensibility meets practical, impact-focused data science.

CODE FASHIONABLY grew from working with datasets, witnessing how analytics and machine learning can transform decisions about products, inventory, and customers.

Each piece connects back to the same idea that started JP MAROU: using movement, creativity, and bold design to help people become more confident and fully alive versions of themselves.

About Nneka J. Penniston | Author of CODE FASHIONABLY

Born in the isles of Trinidad and Tobago, Nneka J. Penniston moved to Brooklyn, New York. Under the tutelage of her grandmother, she began to take health, fitness, and fashion seriously, nurturing a vision of creating wearable, fashionable fitness clothing.

Alongside her lifelong love of fashion, Nneka developed a deep passion for data and technology, building 15 years of experience in data analytics across the healthcare, pharmaceutical, insurance, and financial services industries. She authored CODE FASHIONABLY to bridge the divide between analytical theory and practical application—speaking the specific language of SKUs, seasonality, and style.

When not working with data, she performs samba with Em Cima Da Hora, bringing the same fire and rhythm to dance that she brings to fashion and analytics.
